The Amethyst Initiative: A Cotter Debate on the Drinking Age

On Thursday, October 29th, 2009 David Rosenbloom, President & CEO of the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University and John McCardell, President Emeritus of Middlebury College and President of Choose Responsibility debated the legal drinking age. The debate was moderated by Professor Joe Reisert of the Government Department.

Covering the World with a Shrinking Newsroom

According to a report by Unity: Journalists of Color, broadcast and digital news media, including newspapers, have shed 35,885 jobs since Sept. 15, 2008. How can newsrooms with thinned budgets and skeletal staff continue to investigate and report news from around the world?
