51st Annual Colby Institute for Leadership is March 26 On Tuesday, March 26, Colby College will offer its 51st annual program for leaders in the Maine workplace--the 2002 Colby Institute for Leadership. This year's theme is "Filling the Void: New Strategies for Leadership." Keynote speakers are Michael Useem, Egan Professor of Management and Director for Leadership and Change Management at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, and Richard Florida, H. John Heinz III Professor of Economic Development at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz School of Public Policy and Management. The program runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Colby's campus in Waterville. Participants must register in advance to attend the institute. Registration, lunch and an afternoon reception are included in the $175 fee, and four or more participants from the same organization are eligible for a group discount.
