Colby College's Forum for Women in Science (FWIS) hosted the 2003 Northeast Regional Workshop on Gender Issues in the Sciences. The workshop included a stellar roster of speakers nationally recognized for their work in the field. The Workshop, designed for men as well as women, addressed important, timely issues facing female science faculty in higher education and was held at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, on June 11-13, 2003. With primary funding from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, FWIS sponsored this workshop for faculty and administrators who have an interest in identifying and discussing key gender issues in the sciences.
