Recycling Station LocationsDormitories -- Alfond Apartments -- Academic/Administrative Buildings Dormitories
Recycling stations consist of bins for trash, paper, and
bottles/cans; cardboard should be folded down and placed behind or near
bins. Recycling stations are
located on each floor of each dorm. For locations of recycling stations on each floor of each residence hall click here.
Below are pictures of the different types of recycling
station set-ups in the dormitories.
Location: AMS, Averill, Coburn, Foss, Johnson, Mary Low, and Woodman. Description: Trash, Paper, and Bottles/Cans have separate built in bins on each floor (Picture 1) Notes: In a few places in Mary Low, the trash and bottles are built in and there is a paper bin (blue) located near by (Picture 2). Location: Leonard, Marriner, Sturtevant, Taylor, and Williams Description: Separate trash (grey bin), paper (blue bin), and bottles/Cans (yellow bin) bins are set up in a row and located in both lounges on each floor (Picture 3). Notes: In East and West Quad, the bin set up is similar but there are also permanent signs on the walls; there are two recycling stations in each corridor on each floor (Picture 4). Location: Drummond, Goddard Hodgkins, Grossman, Perkins Wilson, Pierce, Piper, and Treworgy. Description: Trash (grey bin), Paper (blue bin), and Bottles/Cans (yellow bin) have separate bins set up in a row or near each other and are located in the halls or stairwell on each floor (Picture 5). Notes: These bins are being replaced with a new type of bins with permanent signs designating trash, paper, and bottles/cans. This change can already be seen in Heights where a recycling station is located on each level (Picture 6). Picture 5 Picture 6

Recycling room with bins for paper, bottles/cans, tin cans,
and cardboard is located on the first floor near the back entrance to the
Alfond Apartments. A bin for
plastic containers is located in the laundry room. Recycling Room (first floor)

bottles/cans are located throughout the academic/administrative buildings. Bins for plastic containers and tin
cans are located in lounge/kitchenette areas.
Location: Olin, Arey, Keyes, Mudd, Miller, Roberts, Garrison-Foster, Lovejoy, Eustis, Lunder House, SSW Alumni Center, and Bixler Description: Trash, Paper, Bottles/Cans have separate bins and are located on most floors of Academic/Administrative buildings (Picture 1) Notes: There are additional areas for recycling such as Miller Street where recycling bins for bottles/cans are built into the wall near the soda machines (Picture 2).
Location: All computer labs, copy rooms, and offices in Academic/Administrative buildings. Picture 3: Copy room in Roberts. Picture 4: Office
