For the Green Graduation, Colby is committed to use decorations that minimize the use of plastic and reduce the waste thrown in the waste stream.  The foil, or mylar, and latex foil balloons will no longer be used and Colby is committed to using live plants in the decorations for most events instead of cut flowers.  The cut flowers are used only where it is impractical to use potted plants, and the display is reused for many events.  Also, Colby is committed to changing our decorative lighting from incandescent “twinkle” lights to LED light strings, which require less electricity.
