Colby athletes on NESCAC sportsmanship team
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Eight Colby College athletes were named to the inaugural New England Small College Athletic Conference Fall All-Sportsmanship Team.
The team recognizes student-athletes from each varsity sport who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to sportsmanship. The athletes were selected to the team by their teammates and coaches. Tim Maguire (men's cross country), MaryClaire McGovern (field hockey), Anna King (women's cross country), Chris Bashaw (football), Gus Thompson (golf), Mike Butler (men's soccer), Mollie Puskar (women's soccer), and Cassie Sancartier (volleyball) were the players selected from Colby. Thompson was one of just three first-year athletes to earn the honor among the 83 individuals honored among the NESCAC schools.
