Camels defeat men's lacrosse in league play
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Conor Malangone (Lake Grove, N.Y.) had four goals and goalie Mark Moran (Greenwich, Conn.) stopped 18 shots as the Connecticut College men's lacrosse team took an 11-4 win over Colby College in New England Small College Athletic Conference play Saturday at Bill Alfond Field.
Connecticut College improved to 8-5 overall and 4-4 in league play, while the Mules fell to 6-6 overall and 2-6 in the conference. The Camels led 2-0 after the first quarter and 5-1 at halftime. The Mules got as close as three goals (4-1 and 5-2) on two occasions. Connecticut College, though, scored three straight goals to make it 8-2 in the third quarter. Caddy Brooks (Darien, Conn.) paced Colby with one goal and one assist.
