On Thursday, May 11, at 7 p.m. in the Page Commons Room of Cotter Union at Colby, the Athletic Department will present the senior athlete awards. This year's event will differ from previous spring awards events in that C Club members as well as all Colby varsity athletes and guests will be invited. There will be a brief reception prior to the awards presentation. What has not changed is the premise that this event brings together alumni, students, and administrators to celebrate the success of Colby's senior athletes.
The Carl Nelson Sports Achievement Award, presented for career achievement related to athletics, will be presented on Friday, October 6, to Michel Picher '67. Picher is a very successful arbitrator for Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League and National Hockey League Players' Association, and for Canadian national teams.
