Opportunities for employment during the academic year at Colby are campus-wide and include jobs in the library, bookstore, food services, athletic complex, administrative offices, and academic departments. The Student Financial Services staff attempts to match student and employer preferences and in many cases is able to offer jobs in students' areas of interest.

Campus jobs enable students to earn up to $1,850 per year, and many Colby students take advantage of these job opportunities whether or not they receive financial aid. First-year aid recipients are expected to work 10 or 12 hours each week and use their earnings to defray personal expenses.
