Technology
 At Colby, information technology is integral to academic life. There are wireless networks in the libraries and the student center, and there are computer clusters for student use throughout the academic buildings. Colby’s high-speed Ethernet is available in all areas of the campus. All residence halls have wireless Internet access as well as a wired Ethernet port for each student with additional ports in lounges and study areas. A Colby account is automatically set up to give students unlimited access to e-mail and the Internet as well as 25MB of storage for personal Web pages and 500MB of storage in their personal directories. Colby has a system of e-mail lists available so that students can post notices to general or more targeted groups. |
