Zipcars on Campus Colby Student Government Association and the Colby Administration are pleased to announce the arrival of Zipcars on campus! What is Zipcar? Zipcar is wheels when you want them. We've parked Zipcars on campus, now all you have to do is decide where you want to go and when. Zipcar's cutting-edge technology means you can reserve your car online, or on your mobile device, 24/7. Rates include gas, insurance and 180 miles per day. $7.00 per hour or $60.00 per day. Where can I find Zipcars? Cars are parked in the Roberts parking lot in the first 2 spaces of the student parking section. Members ages 18-20 can use the Zipcars that live on campus. Members age 21+ also have access to thousands of Zipcars all around Washington DC, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, London, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver. What does it cost to join? Students, faculty and staff can join Zipcar for only $35/year! University partners also enjoy $35 driving credit in their first month of membership. Hewins Travel has an on-line self booking tool called Travelport. Currently Travelport is not compatible with Macintosh Computers. For those wishing to book their business travel online through Travelport you must register first. You may register on-line, call or email Nikita Golovko, Technical Support Service Coordinator at 1-800-370-0888 X1218 to establish your account and personal settings. In the fall of 2007 there will be a new and improved Travelport available to Colby Employees which will be compatible with all platforms. We will hold a training seminar for all Colby employees once the site is complete.
