Student Clubs and Organizations
As a residential college, Colby's student life is focused in large part on campus and thrives on the creativity and initiative of student leaders representing over 100 clubs and organizations. These organizations are greatly varied and include clubs whose functions address religious, social, academic, political, service, activist, multicultural, and performing arts themes. Request to Live On Campus during Jan Plan 2010 - Download Form

Students who return to campus in January must be enrolled in a Jan Plan course, a Jan Plan Independent Study, or a Jan Plan Internship. 

Otherwise, special permission is required to live on campus in January.  To request permission, complete this form, which requires the signature of a faculty or administrative sponsor.  Return it to the Office of Campus Life by November 16th  Requests received after that date may not be considered.

Your application will be reviewed and you will receive notification of its approval or denial. Students found to be living on campus in January without permission will be subject to disciplinary sanctions.  Only students who are approved will have access to residence halls and dining services.

Interested in making more connections on campus? Interested in assisting incoming first-year students in their transition to Colby? Interested in attending Iced COOT and sharing your experiences with incoming first-years?

If this sounds like you, apply to be a First Year LINK! Right now, there are 45 first years abroad in Salamanca, Spain and Dijon, France. There are also a couple of first-year students who will be joining us in January who have done an alternative fall experience. These first-years will be coming to Colby in January, and we are looking for friendly, outgoing first year students who would like to help them get accustomed to life on campus. This requires a large commitment in January in which you will spend a lot of time with these students and go on COOT with them. LINKs must be on campus for the JanPlan 2010.
