Windows 2000/XP - Eudora Setup Help

Eudora is Colby's preferred email client application. Additional tutorials such as how to create address books, filters, and signature files can be found on Eudora's website.
Settings -
Launch Eudora for the first time -
Click through any messages and notices -
Cancel the New Account Wizard -
In the Menu Bar go to Tools -> Options -
Click Getting Started on the left-hand pane -
Enter your real name, email address, mail server, user name, and smtp server information as directed below 
Checking Mail -
Click Checking Mail on the left-hand pane -
Enter 10 in the Check for mail every box -
Choose Required, Alternate Port from the drop down menu under "Secure Sockets..." 
Attachments -
Click Attachments on the left-hand pane -
Under Attachment directory, click on the box -
Browse to the location where your attachments will be stored - Click Make New Folder and name it Attachments
- Click OK

Directory Services - Press Control + Y
- Under Protocols, highlight Ph
- Click New Database
 - Server name - type ph
- Host name: - type ph.colby.edu
- Click OK
 - Under Databases, check the box for ph
