Colby Media Resources (CMR) provides a variety of services to support Colby events.  The first step is to determine if the event requires EMS schduling.  EMS, Colby's Event Management Software, prevents conflicts by centrally scheduling all common campus spaces, both inside and outdoor areas.  It includes a section for media related equipment and services.  We encourage planners to enter "TBD" (To Be Determined) in that section if unsure of services needed.   That alone provides us with general event information and alerts us to possible Media needs.  If you are just getting started, go to EMS by clicking:

Non-EMS events are those limited to already scheduled classrooms and private campus spaces such as offices.  We can provide assistance within time and resource constraint guidelines.  If confident your event does not need to be scheduled through EMS, click:

Do I need to schedule my event?
If you plan to use a public campus space (inside or outside), it must be scheduled to be sure the space is available when needed.  Exceptions include already scheduled spaces such as classrooms, spaces programmed by Student Activities, and private spaces such as offices.

What is the EMS system?
Colby's Event Management Software (EMS) is a web-based centralized scheduling program managed by Colby's Scheduling Office. All campus-wide events, events within common campus spaces, both inside and outside, are scheduled through the EMS system.  More Info
