CMR - Equipment Pool

Items from the CMR Equipment Pool can be checked out for official or academic use by anyone with a valid Colby ID. The loan period is 3 days with the possibility of two renewals depending on scheduled availability. Under no circumstances can an item be loaned for more than 10 days.

Video Camcorder

JVC Digital Video Camera is a compact camcorder in the Mini DV format. It has a large 2.7" LCD screen and a 34x optical zoom. Travel case includes battery and all necessary cables but does NOT include a blank tape. Users are expected to provide their own Mini DV format tape(s).

Digital Camera

Samsung Digimax A402 is compact but has a large, 1.8” TFT-LCD Monitor. It features a 4x digital zoom and captures a maximum size of 2272x1704 pixels, with its 4.2 mega pixel (total pixel), 1/2.5” CCD image sensor. It also has an AV1 movie clip and voice recording.

Tripod

Smith-Voctor P920 Tripod is a full featured floor tripod that can be used with many types of cameras including our Video Camcorder and Digital Camera models above.

Conference Phone

Polycom SoundStation 2W conference phone. Can be used with digital lines using accompanying Konexx device. See set-Up.

Digital Phone Sets

Meridian 2008/2616 Digital Phone Sets are the standard office phones at Colby. They are feature-rich. The 2008 models are gray with a display and 8 function keys. They are typically found in faculty offices. The 2616 models are black with a display and 16 function keys. They are primarily for secretarial use.

Cell Phone

Kyocera Milan Cell Phone is set up for calling within contenental US. Typically used for faculty/staff traveling for the College who do not have a cell phone. Atypical charges billed to the user's department or paid personally.

Data Projector

Sony VPL-EX3 Data Projector provides a bright, clear picture from most devices including computers, dvd's, and vcr's. Includes all standard hook-ups. (This unit does not include a screen.)

Portable Screen

Da-Lite Floor Model C screen. Extends to 8'x8'. The natural partner to data projectors.

Panasonic RQL31 Cassette Recorderis a standard compact cassette audio recorder. Easy operation. Batteries included but users are expected to provide their own cassette tape.
