Cable TV at Colby is provided at no charge in residence rooms, lounges, many classrooms and in a number of public areas. The service is a concerted effort of the local cable company servicing the Waterville area, Time-Warner, and the College which adds a number of international and cultural channels. In addition to the free Time-Warner/Colby programming, additional pay channels, such as HBO and Showtime are availabe for a fee. These digital services require a converter "box" from Time-Warner that can be picked up at the local Time-Warner Office in Winslow or delivered by a Time-Warner Representative.
Maintenance
Since the cable network consists of Time-Warner owned facilities, Colby owned facilities and personally owned equipment, it is important for users to be able to isolate problems when they occur. See Maintenance.
