The Department of Theater and Dance at Colby College invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Theater, beginning September 2009. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in teaching in a liberal arts context and will be responsible for five courses per year in Acting, Directing, Theater History and mainstage directing (one course equivalency).  Additional responsibilities include participating in a new student-centered interdisciplinary laboratory production program, advising, serving on divisional and college committees, and collaborating on departmental productions and activities.  Qualifications: Ph.D., collegiate teaching, and professional experience.
