Philosophy - Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor (two year position)

Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor, two-year position, starting September 1, 2009. Five course annual teaching load. AOC: environmental philosophy; additional competence in cognitive science or Continental a plus. This position is part of the Integrated Studies Program (ISP) which offers thematically oriented multi-disciplinary course clusters. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at least one course in environmental philosophy as part of the ISP. The candidate’s other course offerings should complement and not overlap with our existing strengths in logic, analytic, philosophy of language, Ancient, social & political, non-Western, Modern, German idealism, and philosophy of religion. Ph.D. or A.B.D. in Philosophy, evidence of teaching excellence, and cover letter required.
