Groundskeeper 1
Department:  Physical Plant Department

Work will include lawn construction, maintenance of trees, shrubs, flowers, lawns and athletic fields. Other duties will include the work of the grounds crew such as mowing, raking, moving furniture, snow removal, special event set-up and other duties as assigned. Reports to the Assistant Grounds Supervisor. Qualifications include: High School diploma or vocational training preferred; prior horticultural and grounds experience desired; must hold a valid Maine Driver’s License and have the ability to drive College vehicles; ability to operate power equipment and hand tools such as lawn mowers, chain saws, trimmers, brooms and snow blowers is required; will be expected to learn to operate larger riding equipment such as tractors, mowing machines and forklifts.
