COLBYGARDENS

Colby will continue to lease Colby Gardens through the 2008-09 academic year to house 68 students.   Colby Gardens offers wireless Internet access, four spacious lounges with cable TV and DVD players, a ping pong table, piano, recreational games, and a small kitchenette for student use.

Colby Gardens at a Glance

Location: Western Avenue, one half mile from the main campus

Transportation: A Colby Gardens dedicated shuttle will operate between 5:30 a.m. and 1:00am. Students may also use the Jitney on its normal schedule from 2 p.m to 2 a.m. Security is available for safe rides.

Computer networks: The entire building is equipped with wireless capabilities.

Rooms: There are 17 doubles and 34 singles, all with big windows and most with individual sinks. Rooms are furnished with the same items found in other campus rooms: bed, mattress, closet/wardrobe, desk and chair.

Common spaces:

• Four bright and spacious lounges with recreational games and entertainment
• A study room with several network ports
• A mini cafeteria and lounge with daily self-serve continental breakfast

Parking: Forty spaces for student vehicles; some bike racks

Access: Colby Card required for entrance

Laundry: Facilities on the premises

Storage: A large, non-heated room will be available.

Additional Information: Students are not allowed to have parties with alcohol on the premises.
