The Office of Communications oversees strategic external communications and selected internal communications for the College. This includes major sectors of Colby's Web site, Colby magazine, the Colby College Catalogue, other publications, media relations and public information, electronic newsletters, and design services.

Communications works to maintain consistency in the College's graphic identity and marketing efforts, and it maintains an archive of photography for use in official communications.

The office also manages the annual Lovejoy Award, presented annually for courage in journalism. It commemorates Elijah Parish Lovejoy, an 1826 Colby graduate and America's first martyr to freedom of the press.

If you need information about the Office of Communications that you can't find on this site, please contact Laura Meader at 207-859-4350.
