Bible Study Schedule  Varies
Understanding the Scriptures is an important aspect of our faith. Bible study provides an opportunity to explore the meaning of a particular biblical book from a scholarly and personal perspective. The goal is to understand how understanding Scripture can enrich our lives and help us to be better disciples of Christ.

Prayer
Each week we gather before the dinner discussion (see below) to pray and share concerns and joys with one another. The structure of the prayer time varies from week to week, from praying the Rosary, to reflecting on a passage from Scripture, to Evening Prayer from the liturgy of the hours, to an open time of silence in which we offer our needs to God. All are welcome and no prior experience with a given form of prayer is necessary.
Dinner Discussions Usually Wednesday Evenings, Monthly
The dinner discussions provide a time in which we can explore various aspects of our Catholic faith. The topics vary widely from discussions of matters of faith and doctrine to ethical issues. The dinners are open to all members of the Colby community and non-Catholics are encouraged to come and participate. Some topics for this year are: miracles, Mary and her role in the Church, the Second Coming, artificial contraception (and artificial conception), the death penulty and euthanasia, and apparitions and visionaries.
Saturday Fun Time  TBD
A time for various social events, get togethers and general fun. These events include sledding on Chapel Hill, ice cream outings, bowling, game nights, and movie nights. If you have an idea of something you would like to do, please let Deacon Dean know.
