Hailing from Bates College, Marci Bernard became Director of Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations (CFGR) in fall 2006.  Marci works closely with the president, the dean of faculty, faculty members, and other administrators to match institutional priorities with potential funders, prepare grant proposals, and steward successful awards. Bets Brown, Ph.D. has been Associate Director of Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations (CFGR) since December 1993. She is responsible for preparing, tracking, and stewardship of grant proposals and grants received at Colby and she maintains the CFGR grants activity database. Bets works with faculty, the Business Office, the Dean of Faculty's office, and the Administrative Vice President's office to ensure that proposals are handled correctly and in as user-friendly a manner and efficiently as possible. Julia Gagne serves halftime as Administrative Secretary of Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations. Though relatively new to the CFGR, she can answer many of your questions and can be reached via telephone (207-859-4370 in the morning or 207-859-4340 in the afternoon) or by e-mail jgagne@colby.edu. Julia occupies Room 211 in the SSW Alumni Center each weekday afternoon.
