Located on the new Colby Green, the Schair-Swenson-Watson Alumni Center contains an alumni library, displays of Colby memorabilia and historical photographs, flexible event space for dinners, board meetings, or auditorium-style seating, and offices for the Division of College Relations.

The alumni center is certified by the US Green Building Council under the LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) program.

Colby offers one of the most extensive, varied, and ambitious programs of alumni activity among NESCAC (New England Small College Athletic Conference) colleges. The Schair-Swenson-Watson Alumni Center provides a venue for alumni gatherings and other events, alleviated administrative overcrowding in other buildings, and consolidated College Relations functions in one building.

The opening of the center permited a series of office moves in other buildings that increased the amount of office space available for faculty. The building also is used by student groups, academic departments, and administrative offices. The late Doug Schair '67, Kurt Swenson '67, and Tom Watson '67 jointly gave the naming gift for the new alumni center.
