| | Bixler Library contains a wide variety of print and media materials supporting the subjects of art, music, photography, museum studies and other interdisciplinary arts topics. In addition to books, musical scores, journals, reference works, catalogues raisonnés, music CDs, and videos, Bixler Library provides access to important online research databases, online journals and streaming music services to support arts research. |
| Books, scores, oversized books and bound journals are shelved in the compact shelving in the main Bixler Library reading room. Reference materials are located in the reading room closest to the front desk. New issues of magazine or journals are in the Current Periodicals room, opposite the compact shelving area. The Bixler Multimedia Area houses the library's collection of music CDs, vinyl LPs, videocasettes, DVDs, and CD-ROMs. For security reasons, this collection is not for general browsing, but the person at the service desk will be happy to assist you when you provide a call number from the library catalog for the item you need. You may either listen or view AV materials on our AV equipment, or you can have a desk clerk check materials out to you. |
