Anime Club
The Anime Club is devoted to the appreciation of Anime, a style of animation developed in Japan. The art form is celebrated with film viewings, discussions, and more. Celebrations are often in conjunction with other aspects of Japanese culture.
Asian Cultural Society (ACS)
The Asian Cultural Society promotes a better understanding of Asian culture in its myriad forms. Club activities encompass all aspects of Asian life, both traditional and modern, ranging from festivals, art, music, and drama to current affairs, economics and contemporary film. The club office is located in the Pugh Center.
Asian-American Student Association (ASA)
The Asian-American Student Association (ASA) actively supports issues and concerns of various Asian cultures represented within the Colby student body. The club office is located in the Pugh Center.
Calligraphy Club
The Calligraphy Club promotes and organizes all calligraphy-related activities such as Chinese calligraphy workshops and calligraphy art shows and exhibitions at Colby.
Colby Taiko
Students receive instruction and practice the art of Japanese Taiko drumming. Club members participate in workshops and performances on campus, and attend off-campus performances by other Taiko groups.
Desi/South Asian Club
The Desi/South Asian Club promotes and organizes cultural and educational activities focusing on South Asian countries, including India, Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
Filipino Club
Colby's Filipino Club strives to further awareness of Filipino culture, history, and heritage amongst the Colby community. The Filipino Club brings together students of all cultures and backgrounds to celebrate the Filipino culture. The club offers many social and academic opportunities for the campus through events and activities such as speakers, dance troupe performances, movies, and cooking nights.
