Located on the ground floor of the recently built Crawford Art Studios, the sculpture studio allows students to work in a variety of mediums and at any desired scale. The facility is partitioned into a general workspace that includes woodworking machinery as well as plaster sinks, a stone carving space with pneumatic power chisels, and a top-notch metalworking area. The metalworking space includes four oxy-acetylene welding and cutting booths, shaping and sandblasting equipment, and a welding booth with metal-arc, metal-inert gas, and tungsten-inert gas systems. The space of the studio provides ample room for students to work, as well as an easily accessible service bay for bringing large-scale materials and works in and out of the building.
